Mary_Luna_1MARY LUNA
Flute, Saxophone, Recorder

Mary Luna, originally from the small town of Ellendale, North Dakota, graduated summa cum laude with her Bachelor of Music Education in vocal and instrumental music from Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota. She then went on to receive her Master of Music in vocal performance from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Desiring to move to an area that is family friendly and has enthusiasm for the arts, Mary and her husband moved to Asheville, NC in 2011.

Mary has fourteen years of experience teaching private lessons to students from four years of age through the elderly. She taught elementary school music and middle school choir in Las Vegas for five years, all the while teaching music privately. Throughout her college years, Mary studied the flute, saxophone, and recorder, in addition to voice and piano, and played in NSU's Symphonic Band, Marching Band, and the University-Community Band. Mary is a true educator who works hard to impart the joy of learning music to all her students.
