Teaching Experience:

I began teaching part-time in 1998 and have taught an average of thirty to forty-five students a week since 2000.

I have developed my own unique method for teaching stringed instruments that in addition to teaching songs, technique, music theory, and other fundamentals; also prepares and facilitates the student to learn how to play music with other musicians. I have used this method for people of all age ranges from as young as five years old and up. I have books I am in the process of finishing based on these methods.

I have taught stringed instrument workshops since 2001 at venues such as music stores, festivals, and cultural arts centers in the Southeast.

Musical styles I have taught include Classical, Rock, Bluegrass, Jazz/Swing, Country, Folk, Old-Time, Dixieland, Blues, and others.
